[osdcmy] Job Vacancy : Database Developer

Raja Iskandar Shah
Salam hormat

I am looking for a database developer (not just DBA) to develop and maintain stored procedures for 1 client project. Ideally Oracle, PL/SQL, Toad. This 1 client is our largest implementation storing about 60 million records a month, now currently under maintenance and have been running for the more than 2 years.

I hope that from that we can branch into datawarehouse and business intelligence for large implementations (millions of records a month) - on open source.

Typically our databases are large, storing chip card based transactions from the terminals (door access, vending machine, POS) etc. A campus of 500 students can easily get 1 million records a month. Our main target is to have this with high availability and high performance.

Some info about the company : http://portal.absecmy.com:8080/

Pay is below average ;-) but within 1 year you will get to attend 2 courses : data warehouse and data integration.

Our previous DBA went to a MNC with double pay because of his track record with us. So consider this as the best stepping stone opportunity for you.

about 20% below average

this is the average :

the average will also depend on your experience

a must have is database stored procedures - otherwise it will be difficult to understand the concepts involved

Below average pay? Is this anyway affected by possible 'blowback' from
the BCPM Act about the be passed in Parliament?

Raja Iskandar Shah
nope ! i have always advocated below average basic pay plus unlimited potential.

in this case, we will pay for the training / certification so that the person can progress to the next level faster.

anybody who wants it, have to earn it on merit.
